Cosmetic Directive 76/768/EEC The Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC was published on July 27th, 1976. It allows cosmetic products in the European Economic Area to circulate freely and ensures their safety for use.


Safety Assessor requirements as per the 89/48/EEC Directive The 89/48/EEC Directive published on 21st of December 1988 presents a general system for the recognition of qualifications of professions  that require a University degree or equivalent. The directive is recognized by the European Union,  Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Information on the necessary qualifications of the Safety Assessor completing a Safety Assessment of a cosmetic product to be commercialized in the European Union are mentioned in this directive.


Aerosol Dispensers Directive 75/324/EEC The Aerosol Dispenser Directive 75/324/EEC came into force on May 20th, 1975 and it covers aerosol dispensers.

Since its publication it was amended twice, last by the Directive 2008/47/EC of April 8th, 2008 as consequence of technical progress.


COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) 2018/35 of 10 January 2018 amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) as regards octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (‘D4’) and decamethylcyclopentasiloxane (‘D5’)
